Qualifications

Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

• 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
• At least 3 years of experience in a site-based MEP role
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
• Lead by example and ensure awareness of company health & safety policies among all stakeholders
• Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Maintain knowledge of project mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
• Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
• Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
• Coordinate that spaces meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use according to the construction program
• Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress
• Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete their work efficiently
• Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for sequencing mechanical and CSA activities to improve delivery
• Lead and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with relevant stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
• Ensure that system stakeholders produce necessary documentation, including programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
