Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
- Lead by example, promoting company health & safety policies and integrating safety into all discussions
- Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the construction program
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule
- Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
- Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA scopes
- Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with relevant project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
- Review and ensure system stakeholders produce required documents, including programs, execution plans, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
