Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

• 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
• Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
• Lead by example, promoting company health & safety policies and integrating safety into all discussions
• Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
• Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
• Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
• Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
• Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the construction program
• Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule
• Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
• Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA scopes
• Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with relevant project stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
• Review and ensure system stakeholders produce required documents, including programs, execution plans, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
