Mechanical Fitter (Plant Equipment) £35,000 - £38,000 (OTE £42k) + Generous Overtime + Tool Allowance + 42.5-hour weeks + Personal Use Company Vehicle + Progression within Company

Location: Exeter, Devon

About the Role

Are you a Mechanical Fitter or similar looking for a varied role split between site-based work and field service, with a van provided? In this role, you will carry out maintenance work, breakdown repairs, and pre-delivery inspections on state-of-the-art machinery within a leading plant machinery provider. The company offers ongoing progression opportunities and overtime to increase your earnings.

Company Overview

This company is a leading provider of plant and heavy construction machinery with numerous depots across the UK. With around 25 years of experience, their team of highly skilled engineers is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, and they are now expanding their team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and PDIs of machinery.
2. Work a 60-40 split between the workshop and field across an Exeter patch.
3. Operate within flexible hours, working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
4. Use a company vehicle for site visits, with personal use permitted.

Candidate Profile

Suitable for a Mechanical Fitter or similar background, with experience in plant, agricultural, or HGV sectors. Must be able to commute to Exeter.
