Job summary

Evolve Personnel invites applications for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on a night shift pattern (4 on/4 off) to join a busy engineering team in a manufacturing environment. You will focus on maximizing plant uptime, fault diagnosis, and implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime.

The role requires experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance, knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, ability to read technical drawings, and welding/oxy-acetylene skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical fitting or maintenance role.
• Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Welding, grinding and oxy-acetylene cutting skills.
• Strong manufacturing/heavy industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns to maximise plant uptime.
• Diagnose faults/root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and reduce downtime.
• Assist with project work (new equipment installations and factory improvements).
• Repair, overhaul and refurbish components and equipment.
• Mentor and support apprentices.
• Support and complete TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
• Preparing reports/checklists.

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join an established Manufacturing business. The Mechanical Maintenance Fitter (Night shift 4 on/4 off) will work as part of a busy and skilled Engineering team where you will ensure plant reliability, minimise downtime and support the business with any business operational improvements.

• 4 on/4 off shift pattern (Nights)

As the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter you will be required too :

Respond to breakdowns to maximise plant uptime

Diagnose any faults/root cause and implement corrective actions

Carry out parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and reduce downtime

Assist with project work (new equipment installations and factory improvements)

Requirements:
