Job summary

Peaple Talent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for a permanent role in a manufacturing environment. The position offers a competitive salary package of £60,000 to £62,300 plus bonus and overtime, with a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern providing extended breaks and stability.

The role covers planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of industrial plant, fault finding and repairs, plus hydraulics and pneumatics work, welding and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Maintains mechanical plant and machinery on a manufacturing site.
• Strong fault-finding skills with mechanical systems.

£60,000 - £62,300 + Bonus + Overtime | 4 On / 4 Off Nights | Permanent

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join an established manufacturing business offering an excellent salary package, strong benefits and a 4 on / 4 off night shift.

With a basic salary of up to £62,300, plus bonus and overtime, this is a highly competitive package for an experienced mechanical engineer.

The 4 on / 4 off pattern also gives you regular four-day blocks away from work throughout the year, providing considerably more extended periods of free time than a traditional Monday-Friday working pattern.

The Role

• Planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance

About You

• Mechanical Engineering qualification - Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent


• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering


• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills


• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics


• Welding, grinding and fabrication experience


• Good understanding of health and safety


• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
