Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter in Telford to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. You'll assemble machinery and components from engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics, ensuring high quality work.

You will install hydraulic components, read drawings, use hand and power tools, and contribute to safe, efficient production. The contract runs for six months with overtime available, and mentoring opportunities for apprentices.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical fitting within engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of hydraulic schematics.
• Confident with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Collaborative and communicative, able to work in a team.
• Willing to overtime, including weekends when required.

Responsabilités

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of machinery and components.
• Installation of hydraulic components and pipework.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Use a variety of engineering hand and power tools.
• Produce high-quality work within production timescales.
• Report material shortages or production issues.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Complete general workshop duties as required.
• Keep accurate records and timesheets.
• Assist with forklift and overhead crane operations as needed.
• Support and mentor apprentices when required.
• Work in line with Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties requested by management.
