GEM in Warwick is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join its workshop team, focusing on the repair, maintenance and overhaul of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes in a busy engineering environment.

You will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing electric motors, pumps and gearboxes, performing mechanical and electrical fault finding, and ensuring documentation and safety standards are met. Overtime and call-out support may be required.

Qualifikationen

An established engineering business is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join its workshop team. This is a hands-on position focused on the repair, maintenance and overhaul of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes within a busy engineering environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing electric motors, pumps and gearboxes while ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales. The role also involves mechanical and electrical fault finding, completing workshop documentation, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and following all health and safety procedures. You will work closely with the wider team and may be required to support overtime and call-out activities when needed.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have previous experience working on electric motors, pumps and gearboxes, alongside strong mechanical fitting skills and a good understanding of electrical systems. You should be comfortable using basic computer software, have a strong awareness of health and safety practices, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work is essential.
