Job summary

GEM in Warwick is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join its workshop team, focusing on the repair, maintenance and overhaul of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes in a busy engineering environment.

You will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing electric motors, pumps and gearboxes, performing mechanical and electrical fault finding, and ensuring documentation and safety standards are met. Overtime and call-out support may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on electric motors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Strong mechanical fitting skills with an understanding of electrical systems.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities. Health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Repair and refurbish electric motors, pumps and gearboxes to high standards within timescales.
• Perform mechanical and electrical fault finding and maintain workshop documentation.
