Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Winder in an engineering environment.

• Perform mechanical fitting on large rotating electrical machines.

Job Description

• Carry out mechanical fitting activities on medium and large rotating electrical machines, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Promote and maintain strong health & safety practices on site, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with approved procedures and documentation.
• Support project delivery by monitoring progress against plans and proactively highlighting risks or delays.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure quality records, checks, and documentation are completed prior to and during site works.
• Represent the business professionally while working on customer sites, maintaining clear communication and high standards of workmanship.

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter or Winder within an engineering or site‑based environment.
• Demonstrable experience working on rotating electrical machinery, including AC and DC motors and generators.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
• Flexible approach with the willingness to travel nationally and internationally, sometimes at short notice.
