Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Limited is seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in North Lincolnshire. You will join a busy, highly automated production facility and manage planned and reactive maintenance across plant machinery and building services.

The role operates on a rotating shift pattern, offers 40,000–43,000 GBP per year plus an annual bonus, pension contributions at 8%, and 35 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical maintenance skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, bearings and gearboxes.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ideally apprentice-trained in mechanical engineering and experienced in a production setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
• Committed to health, safety and EH&S guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Lead improvement projects and support ongoing reliability upgrades.
• Work within the CMMS and adhere to EH&S procedures during maintenance.

(VF45) Mechanical Fitter

Location: North Lincolnshire
Type: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 Per Annum (Yearly bonus / 8% pension / 35 days hol)

Role: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per annum + Benefits including annual Bonus, Christmas Vouchers, Employers 8% pension contributions (no contributions needed from employee, saving you approx. £2k)
Location: Commutable from Grimsby, Barton-upon-Humber, Brigg, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Immingham, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1 weeks on earlies (7am-3pm), 1 week on nights Monday to Thursday (5pm-2am) and then 4 days (Monday to Thursday) on afternoons (2pm-10pm) Friday (12pm to 8pm)

Due to growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with good experience across planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, project work and improvements would be most ideal.
You will be working in their dedicated mechanical team and be working in a shift team of 3-5 Engineers.
The team of engineers are loyal and supportive, with an annual spend on training - ensuring you are keeping up with every changing times and practices.

Responsibilities

• Working across a rotating shift pattern.
• Along with planned & reactive maintenance, the Mechanical Shift Engineer will also have the opportunity to undertake projects and improvement work to both plant machinery & building infrastructure across this highly automated production facility.
• Requiring a proactive approach and good attention to detail, the Mechanical Fitter must have good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental, ensuring work is completed in accordance with the CMMS & the companies EH&S guidelines.

Requirements

• Good Mechanical Maintenance skills including some of the following: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Chains, Bearings, Shafts, Seals, Motors, Welding, Fabrication etc
• Good troubleshooting & diagnostics skills
• Ideally apprentice trained in mechanical engineering
• Experience of working in a similar environment, turning your hands to bearings, belts, chains, gear boxes etc.
• Ideally worked in a production environment
• Good communication and team skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
