Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Engineering Manager – Electrical Bias to lead the FM maintenance team on the prestigious NATS contract in Nottingham. The role focuses on safe, compliant delivery of multi-skilled maintenance services and HV/LV switching oversight.

You will ensure KPI achievement, coordinate contractors and maintain strong client relationships while supporting the Engineering Director. A pathway to HV certification is provided through Mitie training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an engineering management role with a strong electrical bias.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• HV/LV Appointed Person experience is advantageous; willingness to complete and pass a recognised High Voltage Appointed Persons Course is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Manager and provide overall direction to the FM team delivering planned and reactive maintenance services.
• Oversee compliance activities, records management, audits, and reporting while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Supervise High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) switching operations in accordance with Mitie Safe Systems of Work.
• Ensure all contractual KPIs and service standards are achieved while coordinating specialist contractors and suppliers.
• Provide operational support and cover for the Facilities Management Service Co-ordinator and Engineering Director when required.
