Job summary

VVB Engineering is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join the HS2 Old Oak Common Project in London. You will install Victaulic and Mapress pipework, carry out ductwork installations and set up plantroom equipment, ensuring quality and safety on site.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, working with supervisors and other trades, and adhering to site procedures. A strong health and safety focus and relevant site certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within construction, building services, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience installing Victaulic and Mapress pipework systems.
  • Experience with ductwork installation and mechanical plantroom installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • JIB/ECS/CSCS card (or relevant site certification) preferred.
  • Previous experience on major infrastructure or rail projects is advantageous.

Mechanical Fitter - HS2 Old Oak Common Project
Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team on the HS2 Old Oak Common Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of Victaulic and Mapress pipework systems, as well as ductwork installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
