Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join its M&E division. The role focuses on delivering accurate cost estimates from enquiry to tender submission for commercial and industrial projects.

You will work with project managers and procurement, manage tenders, and contribute to pre-construction planning. The ideal candidate has HVAC/mechanical building services knowledge, strong numeracy, and driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Estimator in commercial, industrial or FM environments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services.
• Excellent numeracy and IT skills (Excel, Enzy or similar estimating tools).

Responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Prepare take-offs, BOQs, schedules and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure quotations.
• Identify risks, exclusions and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare compliant tender submissions to deadlines.
• Support feasibility and early-stage pricing.
