Job summary

COLEMAN JAMES LTD is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our Yorkshire team, covering projects across Leeds and surrounding areas. The role focuses on full tender preparation for design and build and pre-designed projects within Education, Leisure, MOJ and Commercial sectors.

You will contribute to a £35m regional pipeline with a well-established national company turning over close to £500m nationally. The environment is supportive with clear progression towards senior estimating roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in tendering and bid preparation.
• Ability to assess budgets and costings for projects.
• Proficient with estimation software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• To prepare full tenders for design & build and pre-designed projects.
• Develop tender breakdown in a clear, logical format.
• Identify risks and raise technical queries during tendering.
• Produce accurate budget costs and quotation analyses.
• Ensure tender submissions meet client/contract deadlines.
• Utilise Estimation and MS Office tools to support submissions.

Our client is an established Tier 1 M&E Contractor and they are looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team in the Yorkshire.

The role would see you covering projects across their Leeds office, including sectors such as Education, Leisure, MOJ, Commercial and much more across Building Services! Their Yorkshire region has secured a very strong pipeline for the upcoming year and they have a strong team already, now they need you to come on board!

Responsibilities

• To prepare full tenders and take responsibility for design and build projects and pre-designed projects
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of tender / projects
• To provide tender breakdown in logical format
• To clarify your tender comprehensively
• To identify and inform risks whilst carrying out tender
• To raise technical queries
• Complete quotation analysis on all projects
• Ability to provide accurate budget costs
• Overall understanding & use of Estimation & Microsoft software
• To produce tender submission documents
• Meeting client / contract requirement deadlines
