Job summary

CDM Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Estimator based near Leeds. The role requires strong experience in estimating, tender preparation, and liaison with engineers, clients and suppliers across commercial, residential and retail sectors.

The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record in reviewing tender documents, performing quantities take-offs, and preparing tender submissions for bid success. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Review tender enquiry documents and understand requirements.
• Record, measure and take-off quantities from tender drawings.
• Liaise with Managers/Engineers/Clients to clarify specs.
• Liaise with purchasing and negotiate with suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Prepare material and sub-contractor analysis sheets.
• Assist in the preparation of tender adjudication sheets.
• Discuss and agree tender adjustments with Senior Managers.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and extract required data.
• Quantify and take-off from drawings for tenders.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients on tender content.
• Negotiate with suppliers/sub-contractors on prices and terms.
• Compile material and sub-contractor analysis for bids.
• Support in tender adjudication and post-tender responses.
• Assist, collate and prepare tenders for submission.

Job description

We are currnelty working on behalf of a leading M&E Contractor,they are currently seeking an Senior Mechanical Estimator for their office near Leeds. The company undertakes a variety of projects throughout the UK including Commercial, Residential and Retail, Due to project wins and volume of work they are keen to add someone to the business asap

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years Estimating experience, they will also look at candidates who have undertook estimating duties while working in a project management role..

You must be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the following:
