Job summary

Section Manager for Mechanical Engineering based at the Uxbridge campus. Full-time permanent, 36 hours per week.

You will teach around 16 hours per week across the Mechanical Engineering portfolio while supporting curriculum coordination, programme management and timetable planning. You will work across Level 1 Engineering, BTEC Engineering, T Levels, HNC and HND Mechanical Engineering programmes, helping maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and developing provision to

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector.
• Successful teaching experience within Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Further Education programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on curriculum coordination, programme management and timetable planning.
• Support recruitment, retention, achievement and progression across the section.
• Lead on quality improvement, teaching standards and learner outcomes.
• Assist the Head of School with staff supervision, support and development.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Teach around 16 hours per week and manage broader curriculum delivery.
