Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Section Manager in Mechanical Engineering at the Uxbridge campus. This full-time, permanent role combines teaching about 16 hours per week with hands-on leadership of curriculum delivery, staff development and quality assurance within a broad Mechanical Engineering portfolio.

You will oversee curriculum coordination, programme management, timetabling and performance analysis to ensure strong learner outcomes across Level 1 Engineering, BTEC

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector.
• Successful Mechanical Engineering teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of Further Education programmes.
• Mechanical Engineering industry experience.
• Curriculum coordination, management or development experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
• Strong communication, organisation and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach around 16 hours per week across the Mechanical Engineering portfolio and support curriculum management.
• Coordinate timetables, programme management and timetable planning.
• Support staff supervision, development and quality improvement across the section.
• Lead on quality improvement, teaching standards and learner outcomes across courses.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with employers and industry partners.
