Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Lead in the Southwest, permanent and hybrid-based, to lead a small, expert team and drive engineering delivery across projects from concept to operation. You will review technical documentation, manage risk, and oversee configuration management and asset lifecycle activities.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering or equivalent, with experience in regulated or safety-critical environments and a track record leading multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Engineering expertise within a highly regulated or safety-critical industry.
• Leading engineering teams or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Delivering engineering solutions across the full asset lifecycle including design, modification, maintenance, and operational support.
• Understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, and operational support.
• Review and approve technical documentation
• Support configuration management activities.
• Provide technical oversight to facility modifications, infrastructure upgrades, and asset lifecycle management activities.
• Support planning, risk management, and progress reporting activities associated with engineering delivery.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing activities where required to ensure engineering solutions are successfully implemented.

The Role

This role is for a Mechanical Engineer Lead—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You'll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Support engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, and operational support.
