Outsource Uk Ltd is recruiting a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a hybrid role across the UK. You will lead the mechanical building services design on complex projects, manage a team of engineers, and collaborate with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng/MEng/BSc/MSc), is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), and has substantial experience in building services consultancy.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Significant building services or consultancy experience.
• Strong mechanical building services design background.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects.
• Line management or mentoring experience.

Lead Mechanical Engineer Hybrid (UK) £60000 - £65000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading global engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join its growing design team.

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in the office and flexibility to be based from multiple locations across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role on high-profile, multidisciplinary projects across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education.

Lead the delivery of mechanical building services design on complex projects, ensuring high-quality, integrated solutions.

Lead and manage project teams (up to 10 engineers).

Oversee project delivery and resolve technical challenges.

Collaborate with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (BEng, MEng, BSc or MSc).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Significant experience within a building services or engineering consultancy environment.
• A strong technical background in mechanical building services design.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects.
• Previous line management or mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Due to the nature of the role candidates need to be Sole UK nationals.
