Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate its multidisciplinary engineering function within an established engineering and manufacturing business. The role spans mechanical, electrical and process disciplines, ensuring designs are compliant, manufacturable and delivered to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of CE/UKCA compliance and engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across the engineering function, ensuring quality and compliance across projects.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines across multiple streams.
  • Manage workload, priorities and resources for concurrent projects.
  • Ensure designs meet customer specs, contractual requirements and applicable legislation.

  • Support delivery teams by resolving complex technical issues and guiding engineering decisions.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and commissioning for efficient execution.
  • Mentor engineers and support professional development and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and standards.

Job description

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate its multidisciplinary engineering function.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring technical excellence across multiple concurrent engineering projects. You will provide oversight of mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines, ensuring designs are compliant, manufacturable and delivered to the highest standards.

Working closely with project delivery, commercial, manufacturing and sales teams, you will play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, maintaining technical governance and supporting the continued development of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership across the engineering function, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance across all projects.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines, promoting collaboration and best practice.
  • Manage engineering workload, priorities and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure engineering designs satisfy customer specifications, contractual requirements and applicable legislation.
  • Maintain compliance with CE/UKCA requirements and relevant national and international engineering standards.
  • Lead engineering reviews, design verification and technical sign-off activities.
  • Review technical proposals, quotations and tender submissions to ensure technical feasibility, compliance and commercial robustness.
  • Support project delivery teams by resolving complex technical issues and providing engineering guidance.
  • Work closely with procurement, manufacturing and commissioning teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, supporting professional development and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, documentation and technical standards.
About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant experience within engineering design, manufacturing, capital equipment or industrial projects.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering legislation, technical standards and CE/UKCA compliance.
  • Broad technical understanding across mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
  • Experience reviewing engineering designs, technical specifications and customer proposals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A collaborative, quality-driven and safety-focused approach.

Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or working towards professional registration.
  • Experience within combustion, thermal processing, environmental technologies, industrial process plant or similar sectors.
  • Experience delivering international engineering projects and working with overseas standards and regulations.
  • Previous line management and team development experience.Familiarity with CAD systems, PLC/control systems and engineering management software.
