Job summary

Evodia Limited in Bristol is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Integrate Pillar within the AJAX programme, delivering engineering outputs and resolving cross‑project issues in a Tiger Team setting. SC clearance is required, with an engineering qualification at level 4 (HNC) or higher.

You will identify conflicts, provide expert advice, document issues and lessons learned, and help maintain design integrity across teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in focused Tiger Team activities for rapid resolution
• Ensure clear documentation of issues and lessons learned
• Support risk mitigation strategies related to design and integration
• Maintain awareness of current engineering standards and best practices

Location: Bristol (hybrid working — 3 days onsite, with up to 1 day at supplier site in Merthyr Tydfil, expenses to visit Merthyr Tydfil site are claimable)

Duration: Until 31st March 2027 (with scope to extend)

Day Rate: Up to £440 per day (Inside IR35)

Security Clearance: SC clearance minimum required

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering qualification at level 4 (HNC) or above and be registered as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) or equivalent.

Role Overview

As part of the Integrate Pillar within the AJAX programme, you will be instrumental in resolving cross-project technical issues, ensuring seamless integration of systems and components across different teams. Working within a collaborative Tiger Team environment, you'll support project delivery by identifying conflicts early, providing expert advice, and facilitating communication across engineering functions.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

• Engineering qualification at level 4 (HNC) or higher
• Registered as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) or similar
• Proven experience offering technical advice and delivering successful engineering outputs within complex projects

Desirable:

• Experience working on military asset management or in-service military equipment
• Experience with large, multi-stakeholder engineering programmes
