Job summary

GFSL is seeking a level 3 qualified Plumber to join the Mechanical Engineer team at HMP The Mount, Hemel Hempstead. The role is permanent, full-time, 39 hours per week, based on site at the prison.

You will maintain and service commercial heating and water systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, while supporting rehabilitation and a secure environment for staff and prisoners.

Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems.
• Minimum two years’ experience working as a plumber or in an equivalent role.
• Familiar with Water Supply Regulations and Legionella (L8) requirements.
• Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) operations and health and safety requirements.
