Job summary

Guidant Global is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading defence organisation in Stevenage. You will develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo, supporting from concept to manufacture on complex mechanical systems.

The role offers a 6-month contract with hybrid working (typically 3 days onsite per week) and an hourly rate of up to £50 umbrella. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Strong experience with Creo / PTC Creo.
• Experience creating 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and drawings using Creo.
• Support design and development of mechanical systems and components.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, systems and project engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and data packs.
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality and manufacturing requirements.

Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join, one of Europe's leading defence organisations, supporting the development of cutting-edge missile and defence systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled engineering team, contributing to complex mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture. You'll be involved in developing innovative engineering solutions and supporting programmes that play a critical role in national defence.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience

• Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design Engineering background.
• Strong experience using Creo / PTC Creo.
• Experience producing 3D models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes.
