Job summary

A global aerospace and defence organisation is seeking a Senior Engineer Auxiliary Systems in Glasgow on a hybrid basis. In this role, you will apply your specialist design knowledge to address complex engineering challenges related to marine systems. Candidates should have a Marine Engineering degree and experience in naval ship design. This opportunity comes with a competitive rate of £37.25 per hour.

  • Degree qualified in a Marine Engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in Mechanical Systems for marine applications.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of Naval ships.

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for Senior Engineer Auxiliary Systems to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow (Hybrid working) on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.

£37.25 per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella per hour

Role
  • Applies a depth of specialist design knowledge in mechanical aspects of Marine Systems in order to resolve complex specialist design problems and issues.
  • Perform appropriate engineering planning and manage all technical outputs allocated to systems within their responsibility to progress the tasks identified in the program plan and that they are delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time and schedule.
  • Ensure that the quality of outputs in the area of responsibility is to the required level, whilst providing technical oversight of deliverables.
Skills
  • Degree qualified in a Marine Engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in Mechanical Systems for marine applications.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of Naval ships.
  • Knowledge and experience of shipbuilding, Operations processes and modern build strategies or other related industries
