Job summary

MKE Engineering Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide a full engineering service to customers across the Water Industry in Rainham, Essex. The role offers a diverse range of planned and reactive work and a clear path for training and career development.

You will perform installation and removal of mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, valves and fans, and undertake pipe fitting, lifting, and working at height.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence is preferred.
• Strong work ethic required.
• Time served apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full engineering service to customers across the Water Industry.
• Carry out planned and reactive engineering work including installation and removal of mechanical equipment.
• Disconnection and installation of motors; removal and replacement of pumps, gearboxes, valves, bearings, alignments and fans.
• Pipe fitting and metal work where required; slingings and lifting.
• Confin​ed Space and Working from Height.
• Be part of a supportive team with access to structured training and development.

We are seeking an Mechanical Engineer to provide a full engineering service to customers across the Water Industry. This is an exciting and diverse role, offering opportunities to build a long-term career in a growing engineering environment.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out a broad range of planned and reactive Engineering work which may incorporate:-

• Installation and removal of mechanical equipment across the water industry.

• Disconnection and installation of motors.

• Removal and replacement of mechanical equipment including pumps, gearboxes, screens, filters, valves, bearings, alignments and fans.

• Pipe fitting and metal work where required.

• Slinging and lifting.

• Confined Space and Working from Height.

• Learn new skills and develop through continuous training and career progression opportunities.
