Mechanical Design Engineer

I am currently working with a great company who specialise in designing and manufacturing advanced RF components. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll lead mechanical engineering efforts for cutting-edge microwave and RF subsystem projects, contributing to the development of high-performance products used in a variety of sectors. The main purpose of the role is to provide end-to-end mechanical engineering leadership for microwave and RF subsystem projects. Joining this company as a Mechanical Design Engineer presents the opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment, contributing to the advancement of RF and microwave technologies.

The Mechanical Design Engineer’s Role:

1. Create models and drawings using 3D CAD in Solidworks
2. Responsible for the management and control of engineering drawings and documents
3. Compile manufacturing documentation and support reliability analysis and testing
4. Manage changes through the ECN procedures
5. Investigate new suppliers for existing and new technologies for cost reduction
6. Deploy manufacturing documentation using the current systems in place
7. Responsible for the upkeep and improvement of existing generic processes, maintenance, and standards documentation

Experience needed for this Mechanical Design Engineer:

1. Experience with 3D CAD in Solidworks
2. Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
3. 2D and 3D Solid modelling experience
4. Knowledge of machining, casting, moulding, coating, and plating processes
5. ISO and BS standards
6. Highly motivated individual able to interface effectively with internal and external customers
