Job summary

Bolt in Kettering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will work on back end line equipment, performing preventative maintenance and fault finding to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Rotation shifts with mornings, afternoons and nights, four days off, salary starting at 53,487 and increasing to 56,303 on successful sign-off as competent in role. This role offers development in a collaborative, proactive environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Deco, Inside Spray, Necker and Palletiser equipment
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance tasks
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding
• Ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards
• Complete maintenance records and production documentation
• Support line efficiency and minimise downtime
• Work closely with Production Teams, Team Leaders and Shift Managers
• Provide effective shift handovers and support continuous improvement initiatives

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Back End Line Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of Back End equipment, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable production.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer looking to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic production environment.

Duties of a Customer Service Representative:

Essential:

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience

Desirable:

• Engineering Degree
• Time-served engineering apprenticeship
• Fabrication and welding experience
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
