Job description

Our client is a privately owned building services consultancy established in 1987. They have experienced steady growth by providing first class project delivery and now consist of a team of 50 multi-disciplinary Building Services and Sustainability Engineers.

They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on some of the UK’s largest high-end residential and hotel projects.

Key Accountabilities

1. Produce detailed design calculations and prepare design drawings, specifications, and information.
2. Assist in the practical training of Graduate and Technician Engineers.
3. Manage a team of junior engineers.
4. Receive briefs from the Principal Engineer regarding initial design information.
5. Produce all design information as outlined in the Project Management Plan.
6. Ensure that all calculations and drawings are properly checked.
7. Liaise with internal and external Design Teams, Clients, and Contractors.
8. Assemble all calculations, drawings, correspondence, and other project documents.
9. Consider financial implications when producing design options.
10. Maintain good communication with Clients, Design Teams, and Contractors to meet the company’s standards in customer care.
11. Ensure client satisfaction in project delivery to encourage repeat business.
12. Maintain and develop an understanding of key software tools.

Requirements
