Responsibilities:
  1. Facility Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the seamless operation of our facility infrastructure through diligent maintenance practices.
  2. Site Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct regular site inspections and monitor building and data centre alarms to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Oversee and execute preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, either directly or through vendor management, including managing the permit to work system.
  4. Repairs & Corrective Maintenance: Perform and manage repairs and corrective maintenance on critical equipment to maintain uninterrupted service.
  5. Planned Maintenance: Prepare and execute planned maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.
  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive site logs and data records, including MOPs (Method of Procedure) and scripts.
  7. Incident Response: Assist senior staff in responding to on-site incidents and take initiative in handling basic incidents based on your expertise.
  8. Work Requests & Installations: Complete basic work requests and circuit installations efficiently.
  9. Infrastructure Projects: Participate actively in ongoing infrastructure projects to enhance our facilities.
  10. Works Projects: Execute small works projects, such as lighting upgrades, to improve site functionality.
Requirements:
  1. Educational Background: ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings.
  3. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems. HV switching experience preferred.
  4. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
