Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician in Rotherham. You’ll maintain, repair and optimise high-tech manufacturing equipment on a 12-hour rotating shift pattern, working with skilled engineers to minimise downtime.

Requirements include 3–5 years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, reading drawings, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and comfort with digital maintenance tools. Rolls-Royce offers strong rewards and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Advanced-level apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient with computers and digital maintenance tools.
• Awareness of HSE standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on high-tech manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation faults to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostics, drawings and manuals to resolve faults efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance machine performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
