Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Rotherham is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our high‑tech ABCF facility. You will work with Manufacturing Service Engineers to maintain, repair and optimise equipment on site, including a demanding 12‑hour rotating shift pattern across days and nights.

We expect 3–5 years in industrial maintenance with strong electrical and mechanical skills, the ability to read drawings, and an advanced apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Advanced-level apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Comfort using computers and digital maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on high‑tech manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues.
• Use precision instruments, drawings and manuals to resolve faults.
• Implement continuous improvement to enhance machine performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
