Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Manager

This is a rare opportunity to join a friendly & dynamic Low Energy Building Consultancy based in Wilmslow Town Centre, just 20 minutes from Manchester City Centre. Established in 2018, we invite talented Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Managers to contribute significantly to our high-growth journey.

You will be an integral part of our team, helping us achieve the UK’s 2050 Net Zero Carbon Targets for Buildings. The role involves full responsibility for guiding and delivering mechanical & electrical services design projects, with opportunities for role development and growth.

Your clients will span sectors including Domestic, Commercial, and Public Buildings. Your projects will primarily involve Building Services Design and collaboration with the Low Energy Building Design & Project Management Teams. Typical projects include:

• Low Carbon Heating Systems
• Air Conditioning & Heat Recovery Systems
• Heat Pumps (Air & Ground Source)
• Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR)
• Water & Drainage for Public Health
• Utility Infrastructure Upgrades
• Renewable Energy Systems (Solar PV, Batteries)
• Wind Turbines & Hydro
• Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
• Electrical Supply to Buildings & Equipment

What We Offer:

• Base Salary £50,000 - £65,000 (DOE)

Role Responsibilities:

• Designing Mechanical & Electrical Services for Low Energy Buildings
• Leading M&E Building Services Projects from stages 1-6
• Supporting design processes and project management
• Producing and reviewing technical calculations, drawings, and reports
• Providing expert knowledge and mentoring junior engineers
• Developing technical systems and maintaining client relationships

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years managing technical staff
• At least 5 years in Building Services
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
