Job summary

SII UK, a key aerospace/defence engineering partner, seeks an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to support cross-functional projects. You will produce and review high-quality 2D drawings from 3D CAD models, ensuring BS 8888 compliance and clear documentation control.

You will collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineers to guarantee accurate, well-toleranced drawings and contribute to best‑practice guidelines and tolerance strategies across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• BS 8888 knowledge and practical application required.
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerancing practices.
• Ability to review complex mechanical drawings from 3D models.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing quality.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D drawings from 3D CAD models.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure BS 8888 compliance.
• Check dimensioning, tolerancing and datums.
• Maintain document control and traceability.
• Provide guidance on GD&T.
• Support tolerance strategies.
