Job summary

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology seeks a Mechanical Designer to join our design team at Severn Beach, Bristol. You will develop new products, drive continuous improvement, and manage lifecycle of semiconductor equipment, addressing high temperature, vacuum, fluid flow and precision control challenges.

You will collaborate with designers, process engineers, and operations to translate requirements into robust modular designs while complying with safety and regulatory standards, and supporting

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in mechanical design of systems and mechanisms.
• Design verification and validation through calculation and testing.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary design projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver component and device conception with 3D models, detail drawings and modifications.
• Carry out Design Verification and Validation through calculation, simulation and prototype testing.
• Ensure all work complies with BS, EN, Semi standards.
• Provide technical information required for Technical File, manuals and other documentation.
• Lead, and where applicable coordinate activity on Engineering Design projects to deliver quality solutions on time.
• Take responsibility for work packages / projects allocated and timelines.
