Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Cheltenham is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead an established design team, guide projects from concept through to manufacture, and drive continuous improvement within the department.

You will shape 3D CAD workflows, review designs, manage performance, and mentor engineers while ensuring delivery on time and to quality standards. The role offers a competitive salary with private healthcare, pension, and a generous annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a Mechanical Design team.
• Strong 3D CAD design experience and knowledge of design reviews.
• Experience delivering engineering projects from concept to manufacture, assembly and commissioning.
• Understanding of the full project lifecycle and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Hands on designing special purpose machinery and leading the design team.
• Provide direction and management to the Mechanical Design team to ensure productive work culture.
• Ensure design activities meet quality, time, and project constraints.
• Develop team capabilities through training and skill enhancement.
