Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager in Cheltenham to lead the design team, drive improvements and deliver SP machinery from concept through to manufacture and commissioning. You will oversee hands-on design work and mentor engineers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a Mechanical Design team and developing individuals.
• Strong mechanical design background in automation, SP machinery, or robotics.
• Experience delivering projects from concept to manufacture, assembly and commissioning.
• Solid 3D CAD practice and engineering drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Hands on designing special purpose machinery and working across diverse sectors.
• Lead and support the Mechanical Design team with clear direction and collaboration.
• Ensure design activities meet quality, timescales, and project requirements.
• Support team development, training needs, and skills advancement.
