Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - Welding/Sheet Metal to join its Manufacturing and Engineering team near Redditch. You will focus on designing TIG welding fixtures for sheet metal formed parts and contribute to continuous improvement in fabrication processes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sheet metal, welding and fabrication environments; additional experience in fixture design is desirable.

• Location: near Redditch
• Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Overview:
With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will be tasked to focus on the design of TIG Welding fixtures for sheet metal formed parts.
The ideal candidate / Mechanical Design Engineer - Welding/Sheet metal may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Proven experience designing within a sheet metal, welding and fabrication environment.

Commutable from:
Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
