Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Nottingham. The role focuses on SolidWorks CAD modelling with hands-on testing and electromechanical knowledge. 70% desk-based work with some testing, and security clearance eligibility is required.

SolidWorks CAD proficiency is essential, with experience in integrating PCBAs, wiring looms, sensors and motors into enclosures. There is potential for progression within a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks CAD knowledge and proficiency required.
• Proven Mechanical Design Engineer with electromechanical/medical equipment experience.
• Experience supporting projects from concept through to design.
• Electrical or electronics awareness is useful.

Responsibilities

• CAD Modelling & Design: create high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Electro-Mechanical Integration: work with electrical engineers to integrate PCBAs and wiring into enclosures.
• Product Development: drive design from concept through prototyping, testing and manufacturing.
• Documentation: maintain ECNs, BOMs and technical construction files.
• DFM & DFA: optimise designs for fabrication and assembly with a focus on electrical wiring.
