Job summary

Express Recruitment are partnering with a Nottingham-based specialist in bespoke automation systems and robotics to recruit a Mechanical Design Project Engineer. You will design mechanical solutions using 3D CAD, notably SolidWorks, from concept to commissioning, and travel to client sites as required.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a valid UK driving license are essential. The role offers a competitive salary with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential.
• SolidWorks experience is highly desirable.
• Experience using 3D CAD for designing machines and fixtures is essential.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering solutions and designs for all company products.
• Take responsibility for mechanical aspects of projects from conception to commissioning.
• Generate project related documents using software packages.
• Attend internal and external meetings including travelling to customer sites for technical support.
• Design initial concepts including input into costing and timescales reviews.
• Adhere to client specifications while complying with safe working practises and company standards.
