Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the established design team in Sutton, Surrey. The role focuses on developing manufacturable sheet metal and electromechanical products for a range of customer requirements.

You will work closely with manufacturing, customers and the wider design team to ensure practical and producible solutions, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule in a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD and mechanical design experience.
• Experience with sheet metal and/or machined components.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-turnaround manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Modify and develop existing products to create bespoke variants.
• Design sheet metal, machined and electromechanical components and systems.
• Produce accurate CAD designs and engineering drawings.
• Consider manufacturability and sustainability throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and shop-floor teams to ensure designs are producible.
• Respond to customer requirements with effective design solutions.
