Job summary

Edina, a leading energy solutions provider, is seeking a Mechanical Design / Process Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of energy projects in Manchester. This permanent role offers exposure to CHP, Tri-Generation and Battery Energy Storage, delivering high-efficiency, megawatt-scale solutions.

You will produce detailed engineering documentation, collaborate with design managers, and support from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification of HNC/D or degree in mechanical engineering focused on power generation.
Minimum of five years’ experience in technical management and development of energy projects.
Experience in power generation, pipework and ventilation design, CDM and health & safety.
Competent IT skills, MS Office, and AutoCAD 3D or equivalent.
Full, current driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design of energy projects from concept to commissioning.
Produce specifications, process flow diagrams, piping/ instrumentation diagrams and design documents.
Oversee mechanical systems design, perform safety assessments and pipe sizing.
Coordinate CAD activities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Liaise with project managers, suppliers and clients; support budgeting.
