Fives is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanisms and machine systems for project requirements. You will adapt existing designs to customer specs and support downstream teams to implement new or revised designs.

Responsibilities include detailing components, developing new processes, issuing SAP parts, and collaborating with manufacturing, sales, and quality teams. You will perform design reviews and DFMEAs/PFMEAs while upholding health and safety standards.

Formación

• Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CAD experience preferred, Siemens NX.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Cross-department collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilidades

• Design and detailing of new components, mechanisms and systems.
• Development of new processes including use of new materials.
• Development of existing components and designs.
• Issuing machine parts on SAP in line with delivery schedules.
• Support assembly/manufacturing in building/commissioning machines.
• Liaise with Sales for technical bids support.
• Create customer documentation and maintain records per standards.
• Conduct design reviews, DFMEAs and PFMEAs.
• Work on machine design projects as required.
• Uphold health and safety standards.
