Job summary

Mechanical Design Engineer x2 roles in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will use SolidWorks to produce 2D and 3D designs and create facility layout drawings for two new machines, including pipework and ducting connections.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical design, strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills, and a mechanical engineering qualification. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and project teams to deliver precise, compliant designs.

12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Leeds, West Yorkshire | £40,000 + Benefits

I am exclusively recruiting x2 Mechanical Design Engineers for my client following a significant investment in the development of two new machines.

Both positions are offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

Using SolidWorks, you will produce 2D and 3D designs and facility layout drawings showing how the new machines will fit within the existing site.You will also detail the pipework and ducting required to connect them to the facility services and processing systems.

The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Produce 2D & 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks

What You'll Need

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Strong SolidWorks 3D design and modelling skills
• AutoCAD experience essential
• Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy
