CIBSE Journal is seeking two Mechanical Design Engineers in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a salary around £40,000 plus benefits. You will design using SolidWorks and produce 2D and 3D layouts, detailing pipework and ducting for the new machines.

Candidates should have five years’ experience, strong SolidWorks skills, AutoCAD experience, and a mechanical engineering qualification. Immediate start available with the potential to extend beyond the initial contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Strong SolidWorks 3D design and modelling skills
• AutoCAD experience essential
• Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D & 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks

• Generate fabrication, assembly and manufacturing drawings

I am exclusively recruiting x2 Mechanical Design Engineers for my client following a significant investment in the development of two new machines.

Both positions are offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

Using SolidWorks, you will produce 2D and 3D designs and facility layout drawings showing how the new machines will fit within the existing site. You will also detail the pipework and ducting required to connect them to the facility services and processing systems.

The Role
