Ernest Gordon Recruitment is assisting a Newark-on-Trent manufacturer to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will produce 2D manufacturing drawings and site layouts for high-profile clients while maintaining Bills of Materials.

You will amend designs, perform calculations, carry out site surveys and provide technical support to the shopfloor. The role offers £35,000-£40,000 with industry training and an early Friday finish.

Competenze

• Mechanical Design Engineer role experience with 2D drafting.
• AutoCAD experience required.

In this role you will be responsible for producing 2D manufacturing drawings and site layouts for a range of clients. You will create and maintain bills of materials, amend designs, produce calculations, carry out site surveys and liaise with production and manufacturing teams to provide technical support to the shopfloor.

This well-regarded company have been in operation for over 40 years and have consistently grown due to working across lucrative sectors including defence, aerospace and manufacturing. They are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from conception to installation.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar, looking for a more varied role with high profile clients, where you will be well looked after with a great work life balance.

The Role:

• Producing 2D manufacturing drawings for customer approval
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials
• Amend existing designs and produce calculations and site surveys
• Provide technical support to the shopfloor
• Monday to Thursday, 7:45am-4:30pm and Friday, 7:45-2:30pm
