Job summary

FC Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Stevenage to lead mechanical design projects from concept to manufacture. You will develop new designs and improve existing products, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: 35,000 to 45,000

We are an engineering and manufacturing business based in Stevenage, looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer.

This is an opportunity to take responsibility for mechanical design projects, developing new designs and improving existing products while working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role will suit an engineer who enjoys detailed design, solving practical engineering challenges and seeing projects through from initial requirements to manufacture.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies and products
• Producing accurate 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Developing engineering solutions to meet customer and project requirements

• Knowledge of tolerances, fits and design for manufacture
