Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: East London

Salary: £40k - £50k (dependent on experience)

A Principal Contractor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic M&E design team. This is a great opportunity for someone skilled in Revit to gain further design exposure as the company is winning many projects.

The Role

• Produce drawings, designs, technical documents, and specifications under the supervision of Senior Engineers to meet project requirements.
• Design according to current industry standards, British Standards, and Building Regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with the in-house Architectural Design Department and external design teams.
• Manage design outputs to meet deadlines.
• Implement standard design solutions where possible.

Experience/Requirements

• Minimum accredited degree (e.g., BEng in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).
• Significant experience in Building Services Design Engineering.
• Experience with new build residential projects, including communal heating and CHP.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Ability to work independently.
• Team player in a collaborative environment.
