Job Description:

We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers for a client in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The positions offer a salary range of £25,000 to £40,000, depending on experience, along with a 5% bonus, overtime opportunities, and other benefits. These are full-time, permanent roles.

The client is an expanding heavy metal engineering company with plans for a new manufacturing site and significant growth over the next three years. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be part of an established design team, working on projects from concept through to manufacturing, utilizing SolidWorks and other CAD software.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing mechanical components and systems for projects.
2. Creating and managing Bills of Materials.
3. Optimizing designs for minimal wastage and efficiency.
4. Collaborating within a project team to develop solutions.

Requirements:

1. At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering with similar products.
2. Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer/Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor.
3. A relevant engineering qualification is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
