JOB– Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION– Worksop
TERM– Permanent
SALARY– 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Premier Engineering is working with a well–established engineering company based in Worksop who are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work on bespoke machinery and engineered systems across a range of industries.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar
• Experience designing machinery, assemblies, or mechanical systems
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and welding
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs
• Excellent communication and problem–solving skills
• Able to work well both independently and as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacture
• Working on new product development as well as updates to existing products
• Liaising with the production team to ensure manufacturability
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to final assembly
• Participating in design reviews and engineering discussions
• Ensuring that designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards
