Overview

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at our clients Doncaster manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in designing customised tooling and providing solutions to expedite line changeovers for the beverage, household, and personal care packaging industries. This position combines your mechanical design expertise with the opportunity for global travel, as you support customers, sales, and field service personnel at various sites.

Responsibilities

Continuously improve procedures and product designs through updating previous CAD drawings or designing your own solutions using SolidWorks
Plan and conduct assignments, reviewing progress and reporting results.
Collaborate with external customers to define action plans for larger projects.
Recommend changes in procedures to enhance efficiency.
Adhere to scheduled program timelines.
Operate engineering-specific equipment, including measuring instruments, laser scanning, 3D printing, and CAD applications.
Experience & Skills required.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of personnel.
Willingness to travel for measure-ups, site reviews, and installations (some overseas travel required)
Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD
Experience in mechanical engineering
Experience in a manufacturing environment
